Vegas, Antonio Banuelos, and more…

Crazy week… Vegas, then WEC in Sacramento.  Antonio Banuelos lost a close and hard fought decision to Scott Jorgensen.  Antonio may not have gotten the “W”, but it was a victory in my book.  He showed incredible heart and skill, and The Pit is prouder than ever to call Antonio a Pit Monster.  Thank you to Dave Kovar for his hospitality at his beautiful Dojo.  Huge week for The Pit… The Pit Vegas is getting closer, Chuck’s fight is around the corner, Mike is fighting at Cal Poly May 22, we are still trying to get the front of our building, the Ultimate Fighter show is getting good, and we have another Pit Certification seminar next month.  Stay tuned, The Pit is taking over.

Pit Certification Seminar
May 21, 2010 10:00 amtoMay 23, 2010 5:00 pm

We will be holding our next Seminar Certification on May 21st-23rd. It will from 10:00am-5:00pm each day. Here is some information on the events…

ALOHA from THE PIT!

Our next seminar will be May 21st through May 23rd.  If you are interested in participating in THE PIT Seminar, please call Heather at 805.473-2500 to reserve a spot, they are filling up quickly.

For those of you wondering what to expect from the Seminar, here is a brief overview.  We designed these three days to teach each student the fundamentals of THE PIT curriculum and system.  To best teach our philosophy, we divided each day into technique training, hard core PIT workouts, and school systemizing methods.  We will begin each day at 10am and close each day by 5pm.  We review a lot of information within these three days, so prepare to dedicate most of your day to learning and training.

You will be taught by some of the best.  Trainers that you can expect to be part of the seminar are John Hackleman (The Pit owner), Chuck Liddell, Howard Davis, Antonio Banuelos, and more…

We will also be including a special 2 hour boxing workshop with Howard Davis on Sunday at 12-2pm

What to Bring

You will need training clothes and, if desired, sparring gear (sparring is not mandatory).  Along with your training clothes you will need wraps and gloves to go over techniques and for evening workouts.  Here at THE PIT we encourage hands on learning, but our optimal goal is to teach you how to instruct others; therefore, you may participate in all workouts or watch and observe.

Flight and Hotel Information

If you are flying from out of state, arrive at the San Luis Obispo Airport (SBP) at least one day before the seminar begins.   San Luis Obispo is relatively 20 minutes away from Arroyo Grande.  If you do not bring your own vehicle, one can be rented at the airport.  Book your stay at any hotel in Arroyo Grande.  All of our training locations are located in Arroyo Grande.

Plan to meet at THE PIT Headquarters at 10 am on Friday the 21st.  If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to call John at 805.748.3297.

The Pit HQ is located at 1106 E Grande Ave Ste C, Arroyo Grande.

You can find more information on where to stay at thepit.tv under contact info.

We recommend staying in Arroyo Grande or Pismo Beach. Arroyo Grande is closest, but Pismo is about 5 minutes from THE PIT HQ and most of the hotels are on the beach.

Thanks,

Heather Georgii

A Sunday hike with great people…

Great exercise, great fun, bonding with great people, a beautiful place, beautiful weather… does it get any better than this?  Thank you all of our students and friends for making this such a great event.  Usually my daughter, Suzy and I do Madonna every Sunday, but we decided to share this beautiful “workout” with our friends.  See it’s not all push ups, punches, and cages at The Pit.
