“Unfortunately, Chuck Liddell tore his right hamstring during training last week, and being the warrior that he is, he still wanted to fight, which is the reason why everyone in the world loves him,” said Dana White, UFC President. “But I wouldn’t let anyone fight with his leg looking that way. Let him heal and come back and fight when he is 100 percent.”

St. Pierre is victorious over Serra
Here is a play by play of the second round.
Round 2
St. Pierre catches a lazy Serra low kick and drags him to the ground after hitting his opponent with a straight right. Serra grazed a head kick and followed with a right hand. GSP turns it up and snaps Serra’s head back with a handful of jabs. Back to the ground went the fighters as St. Pierre scored another takedown with ease. With Serra resting on his knees, St. Pierre knees the body hard. Serra rolled over to avoid the knees and found himself on the bottom in half-guard. St. Pierre is dominating with punches. Serra has no answer as he rolls over to his stomach and is hit with more powerful knees to the body and punches to the head. Serra covered and forced referee Yves Lavigne to intervene at 4:45 of the second.

These kids tested for, and received their “Lua” Black Belt (which is the kid’s Pit Black Belt). This test included a week’s worth of Sparring, running, push ups, grappling, wheel barrowing, medicine balling, and generally working very hard and showing the strength, skill and heart of a true Pit Black Belt… I am so proud of these martial artists, and I am looking forward to watching them grow into GREAT adults.
