THE PIT HQ is located in beautiful Arroyo Grande, California, 20 miles south of San Luis Obispo. It is located halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It is about five minutes from the ocean and the dunes of Pismo Beach, and 15 minutes from Lopez Lake. THE PIT HQ is home to ~150 active students from 3-60 years old. There are PEE WEE, kids, adult fitness & belt programs. The Pit Fight Team trains there three times a week as well. There are 10 hanging bags, 10 ground bags, three Versa Climbers, three Concept II rowers, a treadmill, shields, pads, medicine balls, pull up bars, rings, Swain Matting, and great instructors (including Glover Teixeira, Joe Lynch, and the Pit Master himself)…

THE PIT has been BUSY!

Chuck is training hard, and is in top shape for his September 22 UFC 76 fight. THE PIT’s Antonio Banuelos and Preston Scharff are coming off big wins. The first PIT certification seminar is coming up September 6-9. All of THE PIT’s programs, from the PIT Pee Wee’s to the fight team (and everything in between) are really doing well. I am so proud of my PIT system, my PIT instructors, and my PIT students.

UFC 74

I had the privilege of attending UFC 74 this past Saturday in Las Vegas, and all I can say is WOW! The skill, conditioning, and heart of these athletes is amazing. Randy Couture, at 44 years young, showed he is inhuman. George St Pierre is the most well rounded MMA fighter in the world. Patrick Cote has improved greatly. Joe Stevenson is a very skilled Pit Bull. I am very proud to be a part of this martial art/sport… though I was a little disappointed in some classless behavior, but thank god in this great sport, that is the exception, not the rule. Tony Robbins took time out of his busy schedule and made a special trip the San Luis Obispo to spend a few hours at THE PIT! WOW!
